I love it!!! I tried to do a “park adventure” last year. The plan was to get up early and pack the car with all the park essentials. We were going to hop in the car and drive to the first park we found. Then we would stay for 30 minutes and jump back in the car. The goal was to find as many parks as possible in one day.

The bummer was, we woke up that morning to wet roads and dripping trees. I was bound and determined, so we set out. My son was soaked after the first trip down the slide and the adventure came to an end! Looks like we have a new “park adventure” to plan and this time a little rain won’t kill the whole plan.

I was just reading my new Family Fun magazine and noticed someone had written in about ” Summer Park Passport,” where they put pictures and wrote their favorite features. It made a kind of scrapbook for them by the end of the summer. For some reason I remembered this post and wanted to tell you about it.

My daughter is going to make a “Park Recommendations” Book over the summer. We will be doing what you are and listing them out and choosing what day we go to which park. She will take pictures and rate them in different categories. Thanks for the idea to invite friends along. Have fun!

Everytime we move to a new area, my husband gets a list of the parks. We start at the top and work our way down. In fact, we have yet to go to the same park twice! It’s a wonderful way to explore your town/county.

Crazy! I went to my area park & rec website, and they already had a passport. So now we can print that off for summer!
