Go Ahead And Ask…

Sharing is caring!

question mark ?Since we announced our adoption, we've been asked a LOT of questions. Some of them have been asked out of honest curiosity. Other questions have been out of concern...almost like someone placing their hand on our forehead to check to see if we have a fever.

Whatever the circumstance, we knew they would come. It's only natural. We were ready. We had peace. We had already prayed over the answers...and the people asking the questions.

That God would speak, not us.
That our answer would be full of grace--His grace. The grace He extended when He adopted us.

If you've got a question for us about our adoption, feel free to leave it in the comments. I' m not going to promise that I'll answer all of them, but I'll be tackling some Adoption FAQ's in future posts. So, what questions do you have for us? Go ahead and ask...

I really have no questions! I am certain that you are doing the right thing for your family and for your children. (Jonah and his new sibling) I'm excited for you and can't wait to hear about all the wonderful adventures God's plan is going to have you experience. And when you face a difficult time with your adopted child, just remember, you face difficult times with the children you give birth to, also. Raising a child is a lot of work, but it's also the most rewarding job in the world. May God bless you and your family and make this transition as smooth and as wonderful as possible.

Just became a follower! I love that you are adopting. We have good friends who are now in the final stages of their China adoption and are just waiting (and waiting) for the call to go get their son. So exciting!

Blessings,

Alison

If you don't mind sharing it, I'd be curious to hear how long you considered/prayed about it before you felt at peace with the decision. I'm sure that answer is different for every adoptive family, but I'd love to hear more about how it came to be for you!
