My Memories Suite (Review)

by Sara on September 10, 2010

I used to be an avid scrapbooker. I would stay up all night with a group of friends at the local scrapbook store and do marathon crops, whipping out tons of pages. And then I had Jonah…

Fast forward a few years, and well, the poor kid only has a few pages in his scrapbook. Seriously, only a few. I’ve often wondered if digital scrapbooking might be faster and help me get caught up, but wondered about programs and costs…seems like they were all a little too expensive for me to try out. That’s why when I was given the opportunity to try a digital scrapbook program for review, I jumped at the chance!
Price: $39.97 (a great deal in my opinion!)
What do you get: Scrapbooking Software with all sorts of great features (drag & drop elements, color menus, photo editing, and more). There are about 25-30 Designer Templates, 1500 embellishments and about 1300 digital “papers” that come preinstalled in the software.
My thoughts: I was thoroughly impressed with My Memories Suite! There were all sorts of menus and capabilities…some I probably didn’t even scratch the surface of during my explorations for my review! I found it very easy to use. The drag and drop feature was especially helpful. I loved the pre-installed templates, papers, and embellishments. They were just enough to get me started creating some great pages. It has the ability to upload digital scrapbooking kits from other places, so I can collect freebies from some of my favorite designers and import them! I love this feature! There is also has a store full of adorable kits and some freebies. Here are some that caught my eye…
CraftFair City Pack

CraftFair Sew Cool Pack

Playful Stencil Monogram

And that’s only a few of the adorable kits available!
I used My Memories Suite to work on some pictures from this summer. I also used it to make my “Mommy & Me Mondays” button from scratch! I was super excited about this, because now I can tweak my blog design without having to pay lots of money! (You know this thrifty girl was all over that!) Here’s the button I made from scratch:

So what do I think of My Memories Suite?
2 Thumbs Up! Definitely worth $39.97!
