So, I’ve been a little MIA on the blog scene lately, mainly from lack of good blogging material. I mean, would you really want to read about us spending the day in our pajamas… AGAIN?!? It seems that every year the November/December Holiday rush is such a whirlwind and then the ho-hom days of January hit. Enough said? I’ve been checking everyone elses blogs that I read and working on some mini-projects around the house, but I’ve been afraid of boring you with some of the details.
Jonah has been picking up LOTS of words lately. He’s hit the stage where he points and looks at me as if to say “What’s that called again?” I’ll say the word and he’ll try to repeat it. He’s been pointing at things and saying the words of things he knows and will point out cars as we drive…which is repeated over and over ” Car…car…car…vroom…car…car…car…vroom…” You get the picture? Anytime Jonah sees something round he says “ball” (marshmallows, peas, cotton balls, acorns) which means he wants to hold it. He loves balls! We took him to watch an Upward game Friday night and he kept trying to run out on the basketball court and play with the big kids. He didn’t like not getting to play. He threw a tantrum. It was embarassing. The story of my life lately.
I may have to start doing some research on potty-training details. Jonah has started to say “poo-poo” and stick his hand down in the back of his diaper right before he goes to the bathroom. Now, I’m not kidding myself and thinking he’s anywhere near ready, but it seems like he’s heading in that direction in the semi-near future, so I want to be ready for it. Anyone out there in blogland got any good resources for that?
