Sunday Morning

Singing this today and reminding myself that God is in charge. While I’m anxious about adoption paperwork and trusting on God to provide the funds for His calling, I shouldn’t be. I’m trying to rest in His peace today and trust Him to guard my heart and mind….battlefields for my focus.

By the way, have you heard of Seeds Family Worship? I love the way they’ve put scripture to music to help families worship and memorize scripture together! We’re not talking boring or annoying kids music either, but something that adults enjoy, too. When you order one of their CD’s, you actually get 2 CD’s…one for you and one to share with someone that needs Jesus! Plus, you can listen to some of the music online for free!

Sunday Morning

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long we’d have faith to believe

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not our home
It’s not our home

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise

Sunday Morning (Shaun Groves Style)

My friend, Shaun Groves, has a new CD coming out in August. He’s just released links to preview the CD on his blog. It is quality music from a quality guy who loves Jesus, Compassion International, and Adoption…three of my favorite things. (Shaun and his wife, Becky, are in the process of adopting from Ethiopia, too!)

Listen for yourself…

Third World Symphony by shaungroves

You can go ahead and pre-order the CD for $10 at shaungroves.com/store

So tell me, which song do you like best?

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”~Romans 8:15

Grace Came Down

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. ~Ephesians 1:7-8

Isn’t that great news? He paid our debt and lavishes grace on us! Happy Sunday to you!
