I am so excited to tell you about a new book to add to your Christmas book collection! It’s bound to become a part of your Christmas traditions!
Little Star by Anthony DeStefano is written from the perspective of the stars preparing to compete to be the star that shines the brightest for the new baby king. Excitement builds, but when the stars see Jesus born in the stable, they are disappointed and don’t believe he is a king…all except Little Star
. He realizes that Jesus is THE king the world had been waiting for and shines with all of his might. Little Star
shines so brightly that he burns out. The end of the story explains that we place stars on the top of our Christmas trees to remind us of Little Star
and his part in the Nativity.
Little Star is a sweet little story that captivated Jonah. He’s wanted to read it over and over….and I haven’t minded one bit! The story is well written and the illustrations by Mark Elliot are beautiful! As we decorated our Christmas tree, we read it again before we placed our “Little Star
” on top.
I also wanted to share a video of Pat Boone reading Little Star to some children. You can see some of the beautiful illustrations and hear the sweet story too!

Perfect timing! I’m just getting together our stories for our “25 Stories of Christmas” tradition (I’ll be blogging about it all month). I’m always looking for new books to add to the tradition, especially since my boys are starting to outgrow some of the books we started with.
Tweeted it too!
This looks great! We are starting a new adventure here and this would fit it perfect! Thanks for sharing it with us!

We eat cookies, drink hot cocoa and watch Christmas movies every chance we get. And, we go to Grandma & Grandpa’s on Christmas eve and watch the sky for Roudolph’s red nose all the way home. We have Christmas breakfast and open presents. This year I plan to switch the breakfast to a Christmas conteniental breakfast because most of the kids are out of the house and they will all be arriving hungry at different times. I will have waffle batter ready alond with fruit and other theings that can be ready whenever they are. If we did the hot breakfast with eggs, bacon and busquits it would be cold before some of the families arrived.
Oh…. and I’m a Happy Brown House follower. I’d really love to win the book. It might become a new tradition!
We open new pajamas on Christmas Eve. The babies get Christmas jammies, their moms get regular ones. Grandma gets some, too!
One of our favorite traditions is decorating our tree together. My husband and I have collected ornaments from every trip we’ve taken together over the past 10 years as well as from other special events and we hang those up on the tree every year. It’s so fun to remember where everything came from and the great times we’ve had. And it’s just a special tree to us because of that.

One of our traditions is to build a BOY gingerbread house. I put my sister in charge so that I can work on the food without any distractions.
I is one of our favorite and most anticipated traditions! I have 3 boys and my sister has 1 son.
