Jonah Says…

Jonah: “Why is this page ripped?”

Daddy: “You ripped it when you were a baby.”

Jonah: “Nuh-uh. The baby ripped it.”

Daddy: “The baby isn’t born yet, Jonah. It’s still in Mommy’s belly.”

Jonah: “My baby brother ripped the page. It wasn’t me.”

Mommy: “Brother? What if it’s a girl? Will you still be happy if it’s a sister?”

Jonah: “No, Mommy. It’s a boy.”

Mommy: “Well, it might be a girl, we’ll find out soon from the doctor.”

Jonah: “Mommy, the baby in your belly is a boy. The baby in Ethiopia is a girl.”

  4. Found your website through Wendy at Relatively Unique…congratulations! I hope it’s a girl!

  5. Prophetic maybe? :)

    • He’s been calling the shots about the whole thing…first the fact that we would have 2 babies, now this….we’ll see!

  6. My middle child is literally an answer to our son’s prayer. Jack was 4 years old when he asked us when he was getting a baby. A lot of our neighbors and friends were having babies, and we had no immediate plans to join them. We told Jack that if he wanted a baby, he should pray, for God is the one who decides when babies come into families. And so, he did. That night. And about a month later, though we were not trying, we found out we were expecting a baby!!! The entire pregnancy, Jack insisted the baby was a girl…and he was right!!! Who knows? Maybe God whispers secrets into the hearts of big brothers. hahahaha Anyway, best wishes on both of your little wonders. The one growing in your belly, and the one growing in your heart.

    • Thank you Heather! Love that thought “Maybe God whispers secrets into the hearts of big brothers.” We’ll find out soon enough if he’s right!
